Background colours

Today at Enrich... no no NO.... I will NOT start with boring old "Today at Enrich."  This time, I will start with... Hmm. I know, I know!  I was sooo nervous...

I was sooo nervous as Thomas called out my name to present my affective study.  It is on J.K Rowling aka Joanne Rowling.

10 minutes later...

"I liked how you had all the colours for the backgrounds." said Katie

Whew, I thought as I walked off the stage. That didn't go too bad.

Talk to you next week,

P.S If you are in Invercargill you MUST come and see the beautiful tree that Nicola put up at Enrich at 7:00 am yesterday morning!

201- advanced

Today we had the choice of a three week workshop. I chose Writers Studio 201.
Here is my work I did today: (Nicola is going to edit them for us at the weekend, so it is in its raw form)

Back in 1936, it must have been so romantic to meet your lover under the moonlight then sweep of to the orchard and just sit together under delicate blossom trees. I almost fell off of the branch I was perched on in the plantation. Just imagine it, receiving a beautifully wrapped something a few days later, with red roses.   Aaahhh, just the thought of it.
I suddenly felt a small poke on my right rib bone.  “ Amelia, dad has fallen out of the tree again”.  It was Pearl. Grumbling to myself, I climbed down from my special spot,(a hole in the tree) to make sure dad was OK.  I don’t know why we always had to do this, dad had never wanted us, most of the day he just sat in his armchair, on his computer, working.

Do you think daughters should be treated like this? I love it when mum is home, she is so nice and when we hurt ourselves, or anything like that, she takes us out for a Peneloles ice cream, which is almost every day, because if we do not do as he says, dad beats us black ‘n’ blue. I don’t know why mum married him in the first place. I s’pose its because when she’s around she never sees him doing things like that and she doesn’t like us talking about him (when she’s around) nastily.
We had to have a sentence starter, and mine  is the start of my story until the first comma.

Talk to you next time,
Olivia

Where's My Solo Nicola?

Nicola is back after ages being sick in bed. I am glad because in three weeks we are going out onto the street to do some christmas song busking.  We are doing (so far learnt) Jingle Bells, Joy to the World and Deck the Halls. I have not gotten my solo piece yet, but I hope I will get it next week
