making light...

Today at enrich the chemistry group made a mini lightbulb out of:
A pencil lead.
A cut toilet paper roll.
A small glass jar.
Two pieces of wire one red one black with a piece of the same coloured rubber also on each there is a Aligator clip tied to the end with the rubber over it.
and a small pie dish.
In my group there was Tessa, Madeleine Natasha and don't forget Me!  One of the three groups actually lighted. Our one did go but instead the lead blew up.

Make a mini mural

Today at enrich we got into groups to make a mini mural that is got kiwiana, Southland or Invercargill icons in it. 
In my group was Natasha, Amy, Clara, Jemmimah & Me.
In one of the pictures we put John Keys head on a sheep, gum boots on a takahe and Amy drew a hole and in it we put a cut out of Henry the tuataras head. We also coloured in the background and the grass.  The grass took a long time to colour in.
It made a good plan for a mural

elephant toothpaste for chemistry

Today at Enrich I chose chemistry to do for the next two weeks out of art and maths.
For chemistry we made Elephant toothpaste.

The one that Natasha and I did is down below in the corner.

Last day of the term

Today at enrich we did an assessment on term 2.  Mine is up above.We also did a game called the hoop game.  The hoop game is when you get into a group of  three or four and when someone claps you all hold hands and jump with your feet together but if you don't land at the same time or take your feet apart your group has to go back to the start.

Queens Park

Today at Enrich the photography group for Talent Development went to Queens Park to take some good photos. I took 181 photos! When we got back I imported all of them to I-Photo and edited them.  My favourite one is up above.

Passion time

Today we started Passion time.  Passion time is when you choose something you are passionate about and you have a go at it.  For instance I did Astronomy and I looked online for a website and I got ready for a science project about the difference between night and day in Australia and North America.

The learning wheel

Today at Enrich we had to fill in a learning wheel which is a sheet that helps you to look back on the term and think about all the different things you have done.
